Louisiana Sketches

This program, developed by Carl Leblanc, traces Louisiana's performance art forms through the songs and dances that contribute so much to our unique culture. French, Spanish, Canadian and African History all furnish our local legacy with a tapestry rich in custom and heritage. Students will enjoy singing and dancing the Can-Can and Cajun two-step with master artists on a journey beginning with the Louisiana Purchase through the modern hip-hop steps of today.
