Dana Leon, Arts Integrated Coordinator-Early Childhood

Dana Leon is a Credentialed Teaching Artist with Young Audiences Arts for Learning whose artistry spans dance, visual art, and costume design, celebrating the rich traditions of Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Brazilian, and New Orleans cultures. She has performed with and designed costumes for renowned companies, bringing authentic cultural experiences to audiences and students alike.

For more than 16 years, Dana has taught cultural dance and visual art to Pre-K through high school students, inspiring young people through diverse artistic and cultural traditions. Since joining Young Audiences of Louisiana in 2004, she has expanded her expertise through specialized training with the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts and Baby ArtsPlay!, helping to shape and strengthen YALA's early childhood arts education programming.
