Roscoe Reddix, Jr.

Roscoe Reddix Jr. is a teaching artist, actor, storyteller, and dancer.  He is a native of New Orleans and a proud graduate of Howard University; BFA, Theater Arts, '92. He served as the Director of Arts Integration on the team which founded the Young Audiences Charter School.  He enjoys collaborating with teachers to infuse their classrooms with the arts.   He has taught theater arts to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade.   He has delivered Wolftrap early childhood residencies in schools and community centers around the New Orleans area.

His guiding star is the belief that art is the birthright of every human being, that creative expression is an innate part of our existence.  His work in and out of the classroom weaves together words, music and movement to engender a sense of community and ignite cultural memory.   Mr. Reddix develops and leads professional development workshops for both artists and educators in Louisiana and throughout the Young Audiences network.
