Don't just watch, play. YALA's online Baby Artsplay! workshop returns with arts education activities for families with toddlers and preschoolers

Toddler looks into a mirror. YALA Baby Artsplay! at Home: Getting to Know You, in partnership with NOMA. Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m.

Young Audiences of Louisiana is kicking off 2022 family workshops with a series of online YALA Baby Artsplay! at Home workshops featuring a selection of work from the New Orleans Museum of Art. “Getting to Know You” is a six-part workshop series designed to instruct caregivers on how to use the arts at home to promote early learning. The 30-minute workshop will run from February 12 – March 26, on Saturdays* at 10:30 a.m.

Each week, certified Louisiana Wolf Trap Teaching Artists will walk caregivers through various stages of childhood development while engaging families in arts-based activities for early learners and exploring visual art from NOMA’s collection.

After each workshop, children and their caregivers can download our digital Connection Cards for tips on how workshop activities can be continued at home. Reactivate your arts experience by following along with one of our online workshops on Facebook (@youngaudiences).

While our Baby Artsplay! at Home workshops are geared towards families with children from infant up to two years of age, children up to four years old will have fun. Attend one workshop or all six! Families can join our event at no cost thanks to the generous support of The Helis Foundation. Register at www.ya4la.org/events.
