Join Young Audiences of Louisiana for a vibrant celebration of creativity and community at the International Jazz Day Festival! We are thrilled to showcase the incredible talent of our students, whose music and visual art have been developed through our dedicated in-classroom and afterschool arts integration programs.

What to Expect

Student Musical Performances: Catch our talented student musicians live at 5:15 PM in the museum's 3rd-floor concert venue.

Art Exhibition: Explore stunning visual artwork created by students from across all our campuses, on display throughout the museum all day.

Expert Mentorship: All featured performances and artwork are the result of collaborative work between our students and professional Young Audiences of Louisiana teaching artists.

We invite the entire community to come out, enjoy the music, support our young creators, and honor the timeless legacy of jazz in the city that made it famous.

About the Festival

The International Jazz Day Festival at the New Orleans Jazz Museum is a city-wide celebration of rhythm, melody, and culture. In collaboration with Professor Gordon Towell and the Music Department at Loyola University, the festival features a diverse lineup of local schools, colleges, and professional artists.
