Young Audiences of Louisiana (YALA) announced Grow Together Fest, a free of cost, family-centered celebration of creativity, learning, and community connection designed to support children and caregivers across Greater New Orleans.
The two-day event series will take place Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Lincoln Elementary School for the Arts, serving West Bank Jefferson Parish, and Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Young Audiences Charter School at Lawrence D. Crocker, serving Orleans East Bank. Events will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Each event will feature dynamic family energizers led by YALA teaching artists and local educators, interactive arts and literacy activities, and community resource tables offering information on education, health, financial wellness, and family support services. Attendees can also enjoy live demonstrations, giveaways, local cuisine and refreshments.
Interactive Performances include: Watoto African Dance, Zumba with Kelly White, YALA BabyArtsPlay Performers, and Moderator/DJ “Coach Mike” Dunkley.
Participating organizations and businesses include Delgado, Inclusive Care, Jefferson Parish and New Orleans Public Libraries, Primerica, Credit Human and LA Fair Housing Action Center.
“Grow Together Fest reflects YALA’s mission to inspire children through creativity while strengthening the networks that support families and schools,” said Jenny James, Co-Executive Director. “By bringing together trusted community partners and engaging, arts-based learning experiences, we’re creating a space where families can connect, learn, and thrive together.”
Grow Together Fest is open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend either or both events.
