Super Summer 2023 (Broadmoor): A Super Arts Education Event

  • Rosa F. Keller Library 4300 S. Broad Ave New Orleans, LA, 70125 United States (map)

A meaningful arts education experience that will leave you smiling.

Young Audiences of Louisiana’s Super Summer community events are interactive arts education experiences designed to promote literacy and connect with children, infant to age 8, because we believe that arts education is super. In fact, it is so super that it creates endless opportunities for child development. With arts education, the future is bright 😎

At Super Summer, we take some of our most popular workshops and merge them into one morning of fun. All activities are led by professional teaching artists who have been trained in child development and have years of experience crafting active learning experiences through the arts.

Our June 17th Super Summer event is also our THIRD annual Juneteenth Celebration for children and families!

Join us for an engaging morning singalong incorporating African and Native music, an interactive workshop experience, and a Juneteenth-themed storybook scavenger hunt. All children will receive a free book, a snack, an activity packet, crayons, and a surprise special gift. For parents who need a morning boost, coffee will be provided by HEY! Coffee Co.

It sounds like fun, because it is. Your little ones will agree.

Additional Notes:

Carpet squares will be provided for seating and some chairs will be available, but if you have a preferred blanket or travel chair, please bring it along!
