YALA Artsplay! Tiny Explorers Series, "Mirror, Mirror" at Newcomb Art Museum

  • Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane, Woldenberg Art Center 6823 Saint Charles Avenue New Orleans, LA, 70118 United States (map)

Children take their cues from the grown-ups around them. At this age, they become aware of feelings and ideas through mimicry. Learn how you can positively impact the emotional understanding of your child’s feelings using imitation games to model and express all the ways she might feel. Join us this week during our Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Mirror, Mirror.”

YALA is pleased to announce the return of our Baby Artsplay!™ workshops at Tulane’s Newcomb Art Museum. Series three TINY EXPLORERS is designed for ages three to four years old, though younger and older children will also enjoy the workshop.

The workshops feature artwork from the Newcomb Art Museum’s current exhibition and will take place at 10:30 AM on SATURDAYS: Feb 17, 24, Mar 2, 9, 16 + 23.

Join us at 10:30 AM this Saturday, Mar 16 for the fifth workshop in the series.  The program features artwork from the Newcomb Art Museum’s current exhibition and is designed for ages three to four years old. The workshops are FREE and you must register for each workshop to participate.

This free 6-part workshop series is made possible by The Helis Foundation. Our workshops provide engaging arts-based activities designed to instruct caregivers on how to use the arts at home to promote early learning. Lessons are conducted by certified Louisiana Wolf Trap Teaching Artists, who have expertly crafted multi-sensory experiences that foster children’s natural curiosity for learning. After each workshop, children and their caregivers can download our digital Connection Cards for tips on how workshop activities can be continued at home. Watch all the videos in the series again by following us on YouTube (@youngaudiencesla).
